By monitoring the voltage and current entering and leaving the battery pack, this 4S 40A Lithium-ion Battery Protection Board monitor safeguards three series-connected cells. Should any dangerous condition arise, it will cut off the battery from the load or the charger. This can be used for any do-it-yourself project that requires low current, such as robotics applications, 3D printers, quadcopters, Arduino or Raspberry Pi-based projects, etc. You can also use it with slightly higher currents because it can handle currents up to 40 A.This board can provide a maximum voltage of 16.8V and a nominal voltage of roughly 14V because it is compatible with 18650 cells that have a nominal voltage of 3.6V or 3.7V.
